Skin So Balm is a waterless cleansing balm formulated with a concentrated blend of emollients and essential fatty acids that bind to makeup, sunscreen, and impurities and lift them away without friction. The no-water formula creates a rich, silky slip that protects skin from tugging during removal. It rinses clean without leaving a greasy residue, making it an effective and gentle first cleanse for all skin types. Sulfate-free, fragrance-free, paraben-free, triclosan-free, cruelty-free, gluten-free, and vegan.

The balm transforms into a milky rinse when water is added, allowing makeup, sunscreen, and impurities to wash away cleanly without leaving residue.

Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil): Mimics skin's natural sebum to condition and soften without clogging pores.

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride: Breaks down makeup, sunscreen, and impurities while leaving skin feeling smooth, never greasy.

Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil: Gives the balm its rich, cushiony texture while helping dissolve makeup, sunscreen, and excess oil.

Silica Dimethyl Silylate: Creates the silky cushion that helps makeup glide off without excessive rubbing or pulling.

1. With dry hands, massage onto dry skin using gentle circular motions to dissolve makeup, sunscreen, and impurities.
2. Add a small amount of water to emulsify the balm into a milky cleanser, then continue massaging.
3. Rinse thoroughly with water or remove with a warm, damp cloth.
4. If desired, follow with a water-based cleanser to double cleanse.

Use as the first step in your PM routine. Not recommended for AM use unless skipping other cleansing steps.

For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

Is it fragrance-free? Yes, completely fragrance-free.

Is it safe for sensitive skin? Yes. The formula is fragrance-free, sulfate-free, and formulated without common irritants, making it gentle enough for daily use on sensitive skin. As always, patch test first if you react easily.

Do I need to double cleanse after using this? No. Skin So Balm rinses clean on its own, so a second cleanser isn’t necessary especially if you’re not wearing makeup. If you’re removing heavy makeup, waterproof sunscreen, or just prefer a deeper cleanse, you can follow with your favorite water-based cleanser.

Will it clog my pores? The formula uses lightweight emollients including jojoba oil and caprylic/capric triglyceride that dissolve and rinse away rather than sitting on the skin. 

Can I use it to remove eye makeup? Yes. The oil-based formula effectively dissolves eye makeup, including long-wear formulas, without excessive rubbing or tugging. Use with care around the eye area and avoid direct contact with eyes. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

How is this different from a cleansing oil? Skin So Balm has a balm-to-milk texture that provides more cushion and slip than a standard cleansing oil, making it easier to control during massage and less likely to drip. The squeeze tube also makes it more hygienic and travel-friendly than jar-based balms.

Is it vegan? Yes, fully vegan and cruelty-free.
